I am a Registered Social Worker in Ontario and a member of the Ontario College & Association of Social Workers.
Certified Hypnotherapist
I am a Certified Hypnotherapist and frequently consult with Dr. Michael Yapko who is considered one of the best psychologist’s combining psychotherapy and hypnosis.
Registration as a Social Worker and Hypnotherapist means that I abide by legislation that governs professional activities. I follow a strict code of ethical behaviour.

Experience
Judith’s clinic is a generic practice. She works with individuals, couples and families, who present a variety of problems. She has specialized training in relationship and intimacy problems, anxiety and depression, anger management, grief and loss, pain management, parenting, and trauma recovery.
Judith maintains a clinical practice that integrates insight-oriented psychotherapies with cognitive skill-building techniques. Sessions are designed to enhance your learning with real-life skill building.
Judith supports what is known as the mind-body orientation that looks at what gets over-developed and what’s neglected. This is especially important for trauma recover, anger management, anxiety and depression concerns. She places great value on how certain responses and skills get over-developed causing other responses and skills to be under-developed. Over time, reliance on the over-developed responses and skills become the ‘go-to.’/template. The cost…is cognitive and emotional rigidity and an inability to negotiate life challenges such as, intimacy, stress, illness, parenting, unexpected loss, etc.
Judith is interested in the developing field of neurobiology; how the nervous system works to service our need for regulation (balance) and how the mind-body responds to hypnotic language and imagery. She has a growing interest in developing her writing skills for publication so as to contribute to research on how hypnotic interventions can better promote recovery and long-term healing.
